This experience has been so heartfelt and touching for each of us involved. We have spent time sharing meals and waters (not intentionally, we just couldn't remember whose was whose), laughing together, working together, praying together and even crying together over the past few days. We have learned things about each other that we probably didn't need know, but are thrilled that we have grown that much closer through this awesome opportunity. We have been blown away by the honor and privilege to serve in a way that most wouldn't think to and definitely wouldn't care to.
We LOVE the women we serve! We LOVE them right where they are! Our prayer is that when they come to work and see their dressing room, that they would smile and know that they are indeed loved, not just by The Free2BMe Project, but by God. Because He loves them passionately right where they are!
I can't help but be reminded of story of Jesus' washing the feet of his disciples. It was Passover, which means for us it was this very week of our calender that He, the King of Kings, humbled Himself, removed His outer robe, knelt down and washed the feet of his disciples. Feet washing was something that the lowest of the low did. It was a job for a servant, not a King. But yet, Jesus did it. He became a servant for us. An example of His love for others that would soon be followed by the ultimate expression of that love, His death and resurrection.
God's love is bigger than anyone of us can imagine! It has heights and depths that I have yet to see or know or experience! But I have experienced the love given through Christ and as a follower, I want to follow His example, by loving others as I love myself.
This Restoration and Renovation project at this club has been amazing. It's my dream and hope that The Free2BMe Project will soon be invited to renovated another dressing room in the Toledo area! We'll post some final pictures very soon!
